Heading North

It’s that time of year to leave the desert and heading north home to Washington, although these days I wonder where home is or if I have a home at all. All the mostly elderly people who spend winters in the desert, the local fishermen I’ve met here and my friends all asking the same question; “Where can you go to get away from all this?” There have been a lot of troubling things happening here, if that’s how it is everywhere else in America, we are fucked.

Anyway, the bad stuff is on another website that will be revealed at a later date, I try to keep ronbarbish.com on the positive side. Yin/yang, just like it says in the bible.

Most of my time the past month or so has been spent kayak fishing and posting to the watermanatwork.com kayak fishing blog. The fishing here during the winter months has been terrible, but the past month, the fishing has been pretty good. I’ve spent the last few days here editing photos and videos and posting them to the kayak fishing blog.

Kayak fishing and mountain biking gave me a reason to live following the 2018 accident. Fishing is one of the few things that sticks with you your whole life. Unless there’s no place to go fishing.

I’ve been spending most of the time at watermanatwork.com, but I usually take a few sunrise photos if it’s a nice one. Here are a few sunrise photos from a couple different locations.

That’s about it for now. Hoping the the trusty Toyota won’t have any problems and the next posts will probably be photos from the northbound trip. I don’t think I will be in much of a hurry. I wish I was driving to a place that’s happier. Such is life.
