Hello everyone. Checking in here at ronbarbish.com after a week or so in the Cascade Mountains. The weather has been nice, getting some good mountain bike riding in, but we also had a close call with a major wildfire nearby.

At this moment, I am wrapping up my computer work in sunny, but windy, eastern Oregon. I also got all my ham radio gear in shape. Emergencies are happening more often, especially fires. With rural cell phone towers swamped with emergency traffic, a radio may come in handy.
I may have more on the off grid radio gear, there is more mountain biking for sure, and who knows what else? It’s always something, so check back soon.
