It's April 1984, Sonny Miller and I are going for a swim at Oceanside Harbor. I'm testing a Super 8 movie camera housing and Sonny is working with onboard flash, which was completely new at the time. We ran into longtime Oceanside Harbor local and surfboard shaper Jim Weldon and a few decades later this all that's left

The Super 8 movie camera could only shoot a couple minutes of film at 64 fps(frames per second). A couple of minutes of film is about an hour of getting pounded in the Oceanside Harbor shorebreak.

The thing about photos and videos that are a small slice of history, is that they get better the older they are.
