Blacks, when it's big, is not a beginner wave. It is also very hard to shoot water photos because of the near constant back lighting. Not to mention getting pounded by the powerful waves.
On this December day, there were high clouds that filtered the harsh back lighting, so I was able to take some photos that I was able to repair using Photoshop years later.
