COVID 19 Pandemic Panic

Once people in this elderly, right leaning city realized that COVID 19 was a bit worse than the flu, panic buying set in. Lines formed every morning outside local grocery stores.

Store shelves were empty as hoarding set in. Most stores limited items like toilet paper and bottled water. This area was slow to make innoculations available in an area where half the people refused to be vaccinated.

I would be standing in a line like this in the grocery store and be the only person wearing a mask. I was horrified. People were dying every day, but for some political/idealogical reason, almost everyone was willing to risk death. Of course, some of them died.
