1975 photo by Fay Davis. Fay's brother Randy is on the right with his wife Sharon and son Roy sitting on the motorcycle. I'm on the left with Mike "Tiz" Tizzano. Tiz and I had just moved to San Diego from Cleveland, Fay was visiting from Cleveland.
This is the only known photo of my beautiful 1968 Triumph Bonneville chopper I build from a "basket case", the motorcycle term for "a bunch of parts". It was a beautiful black and chrome bike with extended forks and 16" rear wheel. I made a lot of the parts while I was working at Pressure Castings in Cleveland Ohio. Shortly after this photo was taken, I sold the extremely fast motorcycle to a guy who wrapped it around a telephone pole a few days later.
